Application Form, Code of Conduct and Bylaws

Dear Prospective Member:

Thank you for your interest in the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Northern California.  This is an energetic and enthusiastic young club with many fun events for dogs and the people owned by them.  To become a full member you must:

  • complete the club membership application;
  • obtain two sponsors who are unrelated club members in good standing;
  • attend two club functions prior to or within one year of application (if you have already attended club functions please note them on your application).

As soon as your application and dues are received you will be considered an "applicant" and will be placed on the mailing list to receive the club newsletter and information regarding upcoming events.  Once you have met the club membership requirements you are eligible to be voted into full membership.

We appreciate your interest in the club, and look forward to having you as a member.

If you have questions about the club or membership prior to completing the application, you may e-mail  Kathleen McKenna, our membership chairperson.

If you are ready to complete the application, please download the application form  and Code of Conduct in Acrobat PDF Format.

 If you have trouble opening this attachment on the web, download it by right clicking and then selecting "save target as".  Once you have downloaded it to your computer you should be able to open the file with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

If you have difficulty viewing, printing or downloading the application form please contact the Membership Chair

NOTE:  If you have trouble downloading the application there can be several issues with acrobat.  These are PC instructions.  Try one or both of the following

  • Do not try to open the link directly.  Right click over the link and left click on SAVE TARGET AS.  Save the file to your desktop or other familiar location.  Go to your programs and open Acrobat Reader.  Click File, Click Open and point to the file you just downloaded
  • It may also be that a prior instance of acrobat did not close completely.  If you get a blank page containing no data when you click on the application form link above try the following.  Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to display the task manager; look in the running processes for acrobat.exe - if it is there click to select it then click END PROCESS.  Click the refresh button on the web page and see if the application displays correctly.

If you are still having problems email the Membership Chair.
